Huskies beat Tigers in regular season finale

The Dalhousie Tigers fell to Saint Mary's Huskies 80-33 on Friday in their final regular season game.
In the first quarter, Saint Mary's established a strong lead early on, highlighted by a 3-pointer by Clara Gascoigne just five seconds into the game. Dalhousie responded with a jumper from Samantha Manieri at 8:35, narrowing the gap to 5-2. Sarah Valley contributed significantly for Dalhousie with two 3-pointers at 5:52 and 2:00, bringing the score to 20-8. Despite these efforts, the Huskies maintained their lead, ending the quarter at 24-11.
In the second quarter, Melina Collins opened the scoring for the visiting team with a three-pointer at 9:37, assisted by Sydney Guker-Wickie, bringing the score to 14-24. Despite several successful rebounds by Eva Widmeyer and Sarah Valley, the team faced challenges in scoring, with Karina Sarai adding a jumper at 6:55. The quarter concluded with the home team extending their lead, reaching a high of 43-16 by the end of the quarter.
Dalhousie struggled to maintain momentum in the third quarter, scoring only six points compared to the Huskies' 22.
