RECAP: Women’s volleyball finishes regular season road schedule with back-to-back wins over Trent

The University of Ottawa women's volleyball team were on the road for their final pair of road games in their 2024-25 OUA regular season schedule. The Gee-Gees earned 3-1 and 3-2 wins and are set to return home for their last four games of the regular season.
With a late start on Friday night, the Gee-Gees found themselves in a tight first set with the Excalibur. Ottawa took a 25-22 win before falling in the second set.
The Gee-Gees finished out the series with 25-22 and 25-19 set wins to complete the 3-1 win.
With captain Audrey Odigie out of the lineup for the weekend, Nicole Hildebrand stepped up to lead the team with 20.5 points on the evening. Hildebrand's 19 kills and 12 digs were key in the victory. Christine Hachokake logged 11 points, finding two huge blocks in the series. Jessica Goodman led the defence with 17 digs.
On Saturday evening, the teams were more familiar with each other. The game went the distance, with the Gee-Gees taking the win in five set.
Again, Hildebrand led with 20 points, adding 14 digs, Camryn Giddens and Hachokake followed with 11 points each. Maxim Langevin logged 24 assists and 9 digs in the effort. Goodman and Giddens each put up 11 digs.
The Gee-Gees are back home at Montpetit Hall on Feb. 8 and 9 for a series with the Windsor Lancers. They'll close out the regular season against Queen's on Feb. 14 and 15.
