Third quarter run lead X-Men to 89-78 win over Sea-Hawks

(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) - The StFX X-Men defeated the Memorial Sea-Hawks 89-78 in AUS men's basketball on Saturday night in St. John's. After an even first half the X-Men opened up a lead on a 13-0 third quarter run capped off by a Will Donkoh dunk.

The halftime score was 43-43.

Jordan Clarke led the X-Men with 24 points in the win. Centre Rodrigo Madera added 16 points and 11 rebounds while Donkoh finished with 19 points.

Vasilije Curcic finished with 23 points and 9 rebounds for the Sea-Hawks. Alpha Kisusi added 18 points while rookie point guard Davion Parnsalu added 16 points in the loss.

Clarke was named Subway Player of the Game for StFX while Curcic earned the honour for Memorial.
