Axewomen improve to 5-0 with win over STU

WOLFVILLE, N.S. - The CIS No. 5 ranked Axewomen rugby team remains undefeated after five games, adding two wins this past week. 

This past Wednesday night, the Axewomen handed the Saint Mary's Huskies a 72-0 loss and this past Sunday the Axewomen improved to 5-0 with a 96-0 win over the visiting St. Thomas Tommies. 

Veteran Emilie Chiasson, who was one of the few regular starters to dress against the Tommies, worked on her conversion kicks for most of the game. Chiasson accounted for 24 of the Axewomen's 96 ponts. Emilie leads the conference in scoring with 82 points.

First year back-row Michaela Haley, named the AUS Subway Player of the Game, had four trys.

The Axewomen host the UPEI Panthers this Saturday afternoon starting at 3:00 pm
