
Winnipeg sweeps Windsor to finish fifth
First Team All-Canadian Isiah Olfert had 14 kills and five digs, as the No. 1 Winnipeg Wesmen finished in fifth place with a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-15, 25-21) Sunday over the No. 6 Windsor Lancers at the 2025 U SPORTS Men's Volleyball Championship Presented by Sunrise Credit Union at the Healthy Living Centre Gymnasium.
Luke Lodewyks added 10 kills and eight digs and Easton Dick tallied six block assists for the Wesmen, who ended their first tournament appearance since 2009 on a high note.
Gustavo Siquiera led the Lancers with seven kills, while Anthony Ivanovski and Darian Koskie had five each, with Ivanovski also registering a .571 efficiency, as Windsor was honored with the R.W. Pugh Fair Play Award after the match.
Winnipeg recorded a .276 hitting percentage, compared to Windsor's .039
The Wesmen conclude their season with an overall record of 23-4 in regular season, conference playoff and U SPORTS Championship action, while Windsor completes their campaign at 21-5.
