The Concordia Stingers erupted for three third-period goals to defeat the Saskatchewan Huskies 3-0 on Saturday, securing a spot in the 2025 BioSteel U SPORTS University Cup championship game.
Julien Anctil broke the deadlock on the power play at 5:10 of the third, converting a feed from Sean Larochelle and Mathieu Bizier. Anctil added an insurance marker at 19:01 before Alexandre Nadeau sealed the win just 17 seconds later.
Goaltender Nikolas Hurtubise stopped all 19 shots he faced for the shutout as Concordia (3-0-0) controlled the pace, outshooting Saskatchewan 30-19.
Saskatchewan (1-2-0) struggled to generate offense and failed to capitalize on four power-play opportunities. Huskies netminder Roddy Ross made 27 saves in the loss.
With the win, Concordia advances to Sunday's championship final, where they will face the host Ottawa Gee-Gees for the national title. Saskatchewan will play Toronto Metropolitan for bronze.
