Box Score OTTAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech University men's soccer team was unable to earn a point in a seventh straight match as the Carleton Ravens ended their streak with a 3-0 victory on Sunday night.
Cristopher Malekos opened the scoring in the 22
nd minute for the Ravens, giving Carleton a 1-0 lead which they held until the 54
th minute.
Stefan Karajovanovic scored on a penalty kick after a
Jacob Begley (Markham, Ont.) red card in the box put the Ridgebacks down to 10 men.
Fortunately for Ontario Tech,
Nicholas Miller (Oshawa, Ont.) and the defence kept them in the match as it wasn't until extra time that Emad Houache scored the third and final goal for Carleton.
With a career-high 14 saves in the loss, Miller passed
Travis Martin as the Ridgebacks all-time save leader. Miller now has 282 over 52 matches, while Martin totaled 272 over 55.
Nick Jeffs made two saves in the clean sheet victory.
Next Saturday the men travel to Kingston to face the RMC Paladins before returning home to host the Queen's Gaels on Sunday afternoon.
