(ST. JOHN'S, NL) The Memorial Sea-Hawks picked up their second win in as many days over the U SPORTS No. 6 ranked UNB REDS on Sunday, scoring a 3-2 victory on home turf.

Sunday's game was played with a lot of pace, plenty of scoring chances and, despite the score, both keepers made plenty of great saves.

The visiting REDS opened the scoring in the tenth minute when Simon Basillion (Ottawa, ON) was able to find the ball in the box and successfully convert for his first Atlantic University Sport goal.

The REDS would make it 2-0 on another first AUS goal, this one by Roan Saengmeng (Charlottetown, PE) in the 33rd minute.

It looked like there was potential for UNB to run away with the game, but the Sea-Hawks would claw their way back.

Before the end of the first half, Sea-Hawks forward Jacob Grant (St. John's, NL) would score on a powerful strike from the side of the box that found its way past REDS' keeper Louis-Charles Vaillancourt (Sherbrooke, QC).

UNB held a 2-1 lead at the half.

The second half saw the Sea-Hawks continue to press.

Midfielder Hashem Khalifa (St. John's, NL) scored his first goal of the season, firing home a strong header off a corner kick in the 52nd minute.

The home side wouldn't waste much time in taking the lead.

Alex Dolomount (St. John's, NL) scored in the 57th minute, putting the Sea-Hawks in front 3-2. After taking the lead, the Sea-Hawks were able to lock the REDS down, not allowing them many good looks on keeper Dylan Critchton (Torbay, NL), who only faced two shots on the day.

Vaillancourt had to make some big saves late to keep the game close.

The Sea-Hawks get a bit of a mid-season break. They don't play again until Oct. 22nd, when they visit the UPEI Panthers.

The REDS take on the Saint Mary's Huskies on October 15th. That game will be played at the Canada Games Stadium, on the campus of UNB Saint John. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:15pm.
