Panthers deliver 4-1 win over Aigles Bleus in AUS men's hockey in Moncton
The Université de Moncton's Aigles Bleus gave up two goals in the third period Friday to the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers to fall 4-1 in an Atlantic University Sport men's hockey game at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.

The Université de Moncton's Aigles Bleus gave up two goals in the third period Friday to the University of Prince Edward Island Panthers to fall 4-1 in an Atlantic University Sport men's hockey game at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.
The Panthers (9-7-2-1=21pts, 3rd position) led 42 (11-23-8) to 32 (11-9-12) on shots on goal and wiped out the blue and gold attack for much of the game. Moncton (5-13-1-1=12pts, 7th position) could not score in 8-man advantage situations and the Panthers were 1 in 3. It was the Aigles fifth straight loss.
TJ Shae midway through the first and Troy Lajeunesse, on the power play in the 13th minute of the middle period gave the visitors a 2-0 lead. Nathaël Roy (Mika Cyr) then gave hope to his team by cutting the lead in half towards the end of the period. The Blue and Gold couldn't break through the visitors' defense in the third despite 12 shots and Kyle Maksimovish, at 8:03, gave his team a two-goal lead and Jesse Sutton sealed the outcome with a goal in an empty net late in the game.
Cedrick Andree was the winner in front of the net and the loss went to Étienne Montpetit's dossier.
The Aigles Bleus will play two games in Nova Scotia next weekend. They face the Saint Mary's University Huskies on Friday night in Halifax and the Acadia University Axemen on Saturday in Wolfville.
