Soccer Axemen and Moncton tie at 2

MONCTON, N.B. - A late goal in the second half from Mohamed Lamoine Touré (Jonathan Kisse) allowed the Université de Moncton's Aigles Bleus to play to a 2-2 tie game with the Acadia University Axemen in the Atlantic University Sport men's soccer game Saturday at Stade Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium in Moncton.

Elimane Gingue had given the home team a 1-0 lead in the 12th minute of play following an offensive push play, a lead that lasted nearly 30 minutes. Toni Adeoye levelled the odds late in the half, in the 43rd minute of play, with a score of 1-1 at the half. Joe Iatrou then gave the visitors a 2-1 lead 12 minutes later.

Touré's goal came in the 83rd minute of play. Both teams attacked well, without being able to find the target, the game being held in different areas of the field. Acadia took just 4 shots on goal against Christian Masimengo while Moncton took 10 against Dylan Légère. Moncton had 3 corner kicks and Acadia only one in the first half.
