Close game Thriller! 73-69 loss to the Gaels

What a bounce-back performance by the girls, even though they lost in a nail-biting finish to the Gaels 73-69 the Voyageurs had a much-improved game from yesterday. The scoring output for the team came from Emilie Lafond who dominated the Gaels inside the paint going for 21 points! Off 10-15 shooting. The Voyageurs came out firing in the first quarter, fighting and winning every loose ball and challenging the Gaels with physical defense, leading by 7 after the first. The Gaels clawed their way back in the second with the Voyageurs only being up one at the half. Unfortunately for the Voyageurs, Julia Chadwick for the Gaels was unstoppable going off 30 points and was crucial for the Gaels down the stretch. A couple of turnovers down the stretch and the Gaels being the bonus cost the Voyageurs the game in the end.

The Voyageurs have a long break ahead of them and return to action after christmas! The team's record is 3-3
