Moncton, NB – The STFX X-Women won their third consecutive game on Saturday afternoon against Université de Moncton Aigles at Stade Croix Bleue Medavie Stadium, this time by a decisive 5-0 margin.

The X-Women have opened the AUS season with an undefeated record and are currently outscoring their opponents 12-2.

Brynn Jurus led the offense for the X-Women with a pair of goals and brought home Subway Player of the Game honours.

After Amanda Smith opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, Jurus scored just four minutes later and added another marker in the 37th minute.

STFX did all their scoring in the first half as Jenna Burrows and Hannah Yantha tallied late in the half to take a commanding five-goal lead into the locker room at halftime.

The visitors were dominant throughout the game, registering 33 shots on the Moncton goal against keepers Chelsea Burnham and Adèle Melançon-Caillée who split the time in the Aigles Bleues net.

Christina Gentile and Jordyn Pratt shared the shutout victory for the X-Women, facing no shots on goal as the STFX defense shut down the Moncton attack. It was Pratt's first AUS regualr season debut for the X-Women.

STFX will be back in action on Sunday afternoon as they travel to Fredericton to face the UNB Reds in a 1:00 pm game. Moncton will host Cape Breton on Sunday, also at 1:00.
