Antigonish, NS – The StFX X-Men took to the pitch on home turf at Oland Stadium in exhibition action Friday evening. The UQTR Patriotes out of the RSEQ conference provided the opposition as the teams played to a 1-1 draw.

The score was 0-0 at halftime. X-Men forward Ben Herringer (Calgary, AB) broke the tie in the 66^th minute when he tallied from StFX off a set-up from fellow forward Quincey Meh (Nepena, ON).

The Patriotes replied in the 87^th minute late in the game on a marker from Ludovic Lavallee.

The game marked the first one of the pre-season for the X-Men who began training camp on Monday.

They have another pre-season exhibition game on Saturday, September 2^nd, also at home. The Cape Breton Capers will be in town to kick-off at 1:00 pm.
