WBB | Ravens Too Much for Voyageurs in Weekend's Second Game

WBB | Ravens Too Much for Voyageurs in Weekend's Second Game

The Voyageurs' second half of a back-to-back against the Carleton Ravens did not go like the meeting on Friday at all. The Ravens came out with a renewed defensive intensity after the buzzer-beater loss yesterday to the Voyageurs, an intensity the Voyageurs could not overcome as they fell 69-39 to the nation's eighth ranked team.

Héléna Lamoureux was the teams leading point scorer with 13 points but the Voyageurs really struggled shooting from the field, only converting only 19% of their shots.  The Ravens' defensive aggression seemed too much to handle for Laurentian as the Voyageurs turned it over 18 times compared to the Ravens' nine. Bailey Tabin had another strong game on the glass as she hauled in 11 rebounds and moved herself into the top-10 in the league, averaging 7.9 rebounds per game.

After splitting the weekend, the Voyageurs record is now 4-4 and they will turn their attention to their northern neighbours, the Nipissing Lakers, when they kick off a home-and-home series in the Ben Avery on February 17th at 5pm.
