Derek Gentile (Sydney, NS) and Dillon Boucher (Head Chezzetcook, NS) each netted a pair as the Dalhousie Tigers defeated the winless Moncton Aigles Bleus 6-1 on Friday night at the Forum.

The Tigers struck first after a Moncton boarding penalty put the AUS' #1 powerplay on the ice. Gentile took a quick wrist shot from the top of the circle giving his team the lead just 13 seconds into the man advantage.

Dalhousie found themselves back on the powerplay at the midway mark of the first and it was Gentile again who fired home his second goal of the game on a second chance opportunity after the initial shot from Chandler Yakimowicz (Kingston, PA).

Gentille almost completed the first period hat trick when he received a pass in the neutral zone, made a gorgeous toe-drag move around the defender and backhanded the puck just wide.

Moncton would get on the board before the period was up with Nathael Roy deflecting Yann-Felix Lapointe's shot past Dalhousie's Reilly Pickard (Halifax, NS) with 2:50 left in the period.

The Aigles Bleus almost tied the game with seconds left in the period when Michael Cyr intercepted a pass at his own blueline but had his breakaway opportunity thwarted by Pickard.

The Tigers would pad to their lead with a trio of second period goals. Captain Dillon Boucher flaunted his wrist shot with a pair of goals from long range for his first two goals of the season.

Logan Johnston (Fredericton, NB) found the net next for the black and gold as he received a drop pass from Jameson Murray (Kelowna, BC) just inside the blueline and fired a shot glove side on Moncton's Etienne Montpetit.

The Aigles Bleus continued to test Pickard with 22 shots on goal after two periods but only one of them had found the twine.

The final goal of the night came off the stick of Dalhousie's Logan O'Neil (Sydney, NS) who capped off a 2 on 1 break for the Tigers with his first career AUS goal.

Dalhousie would go on to win 6-1 for their second victory in a row off 28 saves from Pickard. With the win the Tigers moved into a tie for third in the AUS standings.

Boucher earned AUS SUBWAY Player of the Game honours with two goals and an assist.

Moncton (0-4-1) will head to Antigonish tomorrow in search of their first win when they take on the StFX X-Men (4-1-1) at 7pm.

Dalhousie (3-2-0) will play host to the undefeated UNB Reds (5-0-0) tomorrow night at the Forum with puck drop at 7pm.
