The Dalhousie Tigers defeated the Mount Allison Mounties 4-1 in AUS women's hockey action in Sackville on Sunday.

The visiting Tigers took advantage of a power play 11 minutes into the game to grab a 1-0 lead. Brooklyn Paisley jumped on a rebound and buried it on a play where Isabella Weist and Alix Yallowega picked up assists. Dalhousie held a 12-3 shot advantage after the first period but the strong play of Mounties goalie Katelyn Evelyn kept the score at 1-0.

The two teams played even for most of the 2nd period until Paisley picked up her 2nd power play goal of the game with 1:15 remaining in the period. Weist once again assisted on the scoring play.

The Mounties drew within one with eight minutes gone in the third when freshman Mollie Grabe scored on a play assisted by Julia Lee. Dalhousie would, however, restore their two-goal lead quickly as Mackenzie Drake scored just two minutes later to make it 3-1.

Brooklyn Paisley completed the hat trick with seven minutes remaining as the score moved to 4-1. Paisley was named the Subway AUS Player of the Game for her efforts.

Mount Allison returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Fredericton to play UNB. Dalhousie travels across town to play Saint Mary's on Friday, November 19th.
