The Tigers used a 22-19 third quarter score to trim SMU's lead to two, 54-52 after thirty minutes.

Two free throws by Dal's Xavier Ochu (Milton, ON) and a Sascha Kappos (Miami, Florida) three-point play with nine seconds left gave the Tigers a 77-75 lead.

A SMU timeout advanced the ball to midcourt where Travis Adams (Halifax, NS) scored a layup underneath the basket, tying to game at 77-77 with four seconds left.

Dal's final shot hit the rim as both teams headed to overtime.

A quick 5-0 Dal run in overtime saw the Tigers lead 82-77 with 3:32 left in OT before an 11-8 run down the stretch closed out the game for Dal as the Tigers won 93-85 win.

Dal, ranked number two in the land by U Sports, improves to 3-0 on the year while SMU falls to 1-3 in conference play.
