MONCTON – Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues (3-9=6pts, 5th position) were defeated 3-1 by the Memorial University Sea Hawks (1-10=2pts, 6th position), in an Atlantic University Sport women's volleyball game Sunday at the CEPS. 

Moncton finished the weekend at 2-1. The Sea-Hawks gained their first victory of the season following 10 defeats. Moncton lost 18-25; 12-25; 25-21 and 23-25. Pascale Doiron registered 11 kills and 18 digs for the Blue and Gold. Ivana Urquhart added 9 kills and 7 digs. Belle de Vries led the Sea-Hawks offensive with 15 kills and 14 digs. Kaitlyn Kuchinka added 13 kills and 14 digs and Katie Wagar, 24 kills. 

The Aigles Bleues next game is on Friday as they host Acadia University Axewomen at the CEPS Louis-J.-Robichaud gymnasium on the Moncton campus. Memorial hosts Dalhousie on Friday also.
