The Dalhousie Tigers earn a victory in game one of the weekend matchup versus the Memorial Sea-Hawks.

The Tigers have already solidified their position in the AUS soccer playoffs with their now 6-2-3 record. The Sea-Hawks will have to make more happen for them tomorrow if they hope to have a chance at sliding into one of the two remaining playoff seats, with Saint Mary's and UPEI ahead of them.

The Tigers had the first attempt at net in the seventh minute by Adam Murphy, but Sea-Hawks keeper Dylan Crichton wouldn't allow for the goal.
The Tigers would try again in the 20th minute when Jacob Bolton would fire one at the Sea-Hawks net but Crichton would make the impressive block.
The Sea-Hawks didn't see their first shot on goal until the 26th minute when Kyle Williams sent rocket at the Tigers' keeper but Ben Grondin would put his body in front keeping the score at nil a piece.
Freddy Bekkers of the Tigers was the first to put a number on the board with a cheeky soft touch behind Memorial's keeper in the 33rd minute.

Memorial and Dalhousie would exchange a few opportunities throughout the first half, but Dalhousie would hang tight and head into halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Just one minute into the second half, Dalhousie was awarded a penalty shot where Freddy Bekkers would land the second Tigers goal.
After a few back and fourths and a few wide shots the score remained unchanged until #8 Nyle Macleod of the Tigers would put one top corner in the 86th minute.

Ben Grondin of the Tigers would earn Subway Player of the Game for impressive work in the net.

The teams will meet again tomorrow for a rematch at 3:15pm NST at KGV.
