The Capers came out firing from the start and were able to parlay that into a strong start in the first half. Capers striker Alliyah Rowe was able to convert off a deflection in the 24th minute to put her team ahead by a score of 1-0. Not long after the Capers were able to add to their lead, in the 41stminute Rebecca Lambke was able to find the back of the net off a nicely delivered through ball by Grace Hannaford. Sea-Hawks goalkeeper Sydney Walsh was busy in the first half, stopping 7 of the 9 shots that were sent her way, keeping her squad within striking distance heading into halftime.
The Sea-Hawks would try and push forward in the second half and they had some success with forwards Claire Langille, Zoe Rowe, and Kate Hickey getting to the heart of the Capers's defense at times. Despite their best efforts, it just wasn't in the cards for the Sea-Hawks this Saturday afternoon. Capers midfielder Paige Allaby was able to add some insurance to the Capers lead, making it 3-0 in the 51st minute after another nice pass by Grace Hannaford. Under two minutes later, Capers Striker Alliyah Rowe scores her second of the game and conference-leading 7th goal of the season to extend the visitors' lead to 4-0.
