A day after being blanked by the Ryerson Rams, the Voyageurs Women's Soccer team got on the score sheet against the Toronto Varsity Blues but it wouldn't be enough as they fell 4-1.

The game opened up with a fast and furious pace as Nicki Parkes put the Blues in front just six minutes in.  It didn't take long for third-year midfielder, Brianne Rodrigue, to respond for the Voyageurs and knot the game up at 1-1, 14 minutes in.  The Blues added one more in the 36th to take a 2-1 lead into half time.

Josée Scott replaced rookie Heather McGregor in the 2nd half as the Voyageurs looked for a spark but it would be the Varsity Blues who would add two more goals to wrap up the scoring.

Head Coach Rob Gallo knew exactly where the difference lied in the game.  "We had poor coverage on a trio of set pieces and the capitalized," he said.  "We have a number of new faces and are dealing with some injuries so we need to figure out the best formation to play with the current group.  It is a process that may take time and we need to be patient."

The team now has five days to get ready for their next games before they head to Kingston to take on the Queen's Gaels and RMC Paladins over the long weekend.
