In a matchup that was a battle of two teams on opposite sides of the table - the Huskies, on a four-game win streak, tied atop the standings with UNB and the Tigers, currently at seventh in the standings but coming off an impressive win against the second ranked StFX X-Women team on the road.

From puck drop in the first, it was an all-Huskies affair. Scoring was kicked off by Alexa McMillan (Edmonton AB / Commerce), as the defencewoman scored her second goal of the season. McMillan would go on to have a game high +4 +/-.

The second period was all about the Miranda Hatt (Eastern Passage NS / Criminology) to Mary McDonald (Calgary AB / Science) connection, as Hatt set up McDonald twice, at the 4th and 19th minute marks of the period for McDonald's first and second goals of the season.

The third period saw a trio of different Huskies tickle the twine, with rookie Kate Gallant (Brooklin ON / Commerce), and Shae Demale (Red Deer AB / Science) scoring, and Eve LeBlanc (Petit-Rocher NB / Science) adding in the fifth insurance goal on the power play

The goalies on the game were Dagny Hudspeth (Burlington ON / Commerce) and Maggie Baxter (Mahone Bay, NS) for the Tigers. Hudspeth posted 21 saves on 21 shots, while Baxter saved 28 of 34 shots.

The Subway Player of the Game was SMU's Mary McDonald, who scored 2 goals, and assisted on another.
