REDS And Mounties Play To Draw

(SACKVILLE, NB) The UNB REDS and Mount Allison Mounties played to a 0-0 draw in Atlantic University Sport women's soccer action, on Friday night.

 

The game involved good chances on both sides, but neither side was able to find the back of the net to break the tie.

 

The play was even throughout the game, with possession going to both sides. The visiting REDS had 13 shot attempts, while the Mounties mustered nine of their own.

 

Brynn Nash (Saskatoon, SK) picked up the shutout in goal for the REDS. For the Mounties, Sophie Austin (Kanata, ON) picked up her first clean sheet of the season.

 

The Mounties' Kiana Gagnon (Dieppe, NB) was named the Subway Player of the Game.

 

The Mounties return to action on Sunday when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies. UNB also returns to action on Sunday when they host the UPEI Panthers in a game that will be played at the Canada Game Stadium in Saint John.
