Aigles Bleus With Weekend Sweep

The Moncton Aigles Bleus completed a weekend sweep of the Memorial Sea-Hawks with a big comeback win on Sunday afternoon from The Field House.

Memorial looked poised to win their first match of the season on Sunday, winning the first set 26-24, followed by a 25-22 second set victory.

The Aigles Bleus showed no quit however and would go on to win the final three sets to take the match 3-2 (24-26, 22-25, 25-19, 27-25, 15-13).

Sea-Hawks rookie setter Erica Rafuse had a phenomenal game for the home side, finishing with 53 assists, 12 digs, and 4 aces. Alyssa Warford also had a stand out game with 20 kills, 17 digs, and 2 aces.

Moncton was once again led by Christelle Bertin who matched Warford's 20 kills, while also adding 21 digs. For her efforts, Bertin was named the Subway Player of the Game.

The Sea-Hawks are on the road next weekend to face UNB, Acadia, and Moncton.
