(SACKVILLE, NB) The UNB REDS scored in the 22nd minute and never looked back in a 5-0 win over the Mounties, at Mount Allison University on Friday night.

The visiting REDS took control of the game with two first half strikes. The first came of the foot of Grant Tackacs (Woodstock, ON) in the 22nd minute to give UNB a 1-0 advantage. The REDS took a 2-0 lead when Ryan Jetten (Kanata, ON) scored in the 40th minute.

The Mounties looked to get back in the game in the second half, but three goals from the REDS in an eight-minute span put the game out of reach. Luke Rosettani (Ottawa, ON) scored very early in second, to push UNB's lead to 3-0. Five minutes later, Olivier Menard (Ottawa, ON) made it 4-0. Keji Adeniyi (Mansfield, UK) rounded out the scoring and earned Subway Player of the Game honours.

UNB had 13 shot attempts, while the Mounties had six.

With the win, the REDS are now 4-and-1 this season. The Mounties are 0-and-4.

Mount Allison return to action on Sunday when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies. UNB also returns to action on Sunday. The REDS host the UPEI Panthers in a game that will be played at the Canada Games Stadium, in Saint John.
