- Ottawa's 70-0 season-opening win versus Sherbrooke last week was the first shutout for the program since Oct. 19, 2018, when they blanked the Vert & Or in the playoff semi-final.
- Three Gee-Gees are tied for second RSEQ scoring leaders. Grant, Ondo and Gallagher all have 15 points, two behind Kaitie Shea of Bishop's.
- Eight different Gee-Gees recorded tries last week, including Isabelle Grisé, who was playing her first conference match with Ottawa.
- Madison Grant was named the uOttawa Female Athlete of the Week. Two women's rugby players earned the honour in 2019; Michaela Haley and Claire Gallagher.

- Laval started their season on a winning note, topping Concordia 58-3 on home turf. The Rouge & Or haven't lost in regular season action since their first game of the 2018 season (24-14 to uOttawa).
- Ottawa and Laval have met in each of the last three RSEQ Championship games. The Gee-Gees won all three.
- Laval's last match at Matt Anthony Field was a memorable one, as they won the 2019 U SPORTS National Championship over Queen's on Nov. 3, 2019.
