The CBU Capers Defeated the UPEI Panthers 4-0 for the Capers 2nd win of the year. Both coach's game plan was to keep the ball close to the ground when the wind was in their face and shoot at will when the wind was at their back.

There were a few shots early by Cape Breton as they tried to adjust to the wind. At the 13th minute Ciera Disipio (Ottawa , ON) took a great shot but that went above the crossbar and at the 17th minute Alliyah Rowe (Kitchener, ON ) went high as well!
The CBU Capers Defense was amazing only allowing UPEI to get 3 Shots on goal for the entire game! A lot of the credit has to go to fullback Fatou Ndiaye whose speed and IQ helped the Capers keep the ball away from the keeper and keep the pressure on UPEI for the entire game! In the 23rd minute 3rd year MacKenna King (Barrie, ON) scored her first goal of the season, assisted by Fatou Ndiaye .After the goal Cape Breton kept the pressure on by shooting everything they could and that's when UPEI Keeper Amanda Stanyer made a few great saves and deflections to keep her team in it.
in the 54th minute Allyiah Rowe (Kitchener, ON) got a gorgeous feed from Erin Freeman (Halifax, NS) for the goal to make the score 2-0 but it didn't stay like that for long because not long after in the 55th minute Amelia Carlin (Ottawa, ON) caught the defenders by surprise with the great assist by Ciera Disipio (Ottawa, ON). The Capers dominated for the rest of the match with one more goal coming from Ciera Disipio (Ottawa, ON) from a penalty kick to finish off the game 4-0
For her excellent defensive effort and hustle Fatou Ndiaye (Pierrefonds, QC) was named subway player of the game!
The next game for The Capers is at Dalhousie September 14th at 1:00pm
