Fredericton, NB - The first battle of the hill ended in a tough loss for the Tommies and in this second rendition of the Battle of the Hill they looked to get revenge. Both the Tommies and the UNB Reds have had some time apart since their first meeting this season and they came into this game ready to take each other down and get the win.

The Tommie's started off hot with a rocket from the slot, scored by Ekaterina Pelowich (Stouffville, ON).

The game would continue with quick offensive bouts from both ends, leading to a late goal scored by Emma Wilson (Midhurst, ON) increasing their lead to two heading into intermission.

The second period would continue red hot with three goals, two of which coming from Tommies forward Jacey Dane (Aurora, ON).

With the second period coming to an end, the Tommies held their lead against the red-hot Reds 4-1, reaching closer to the win they have been after since their first meeting earlier on in the season.

The third would hold a fleury of shots from both teams, the Reds would not give into their deficit but the Tommie's held strong and kept their lead with a strong defensive stand, earning the win over the Reds.

"It feels amazing, we've been working super hard in practices lately and it's really been showing in games," said Dane.

"It gives us a lot of confidence we've been working together as a full team, so it's given us a lot of confidence," she added.
