Antigonish, NS – The X-Men soccer team played a pre-season exhibition game Saturday afternoon against the defending AUS champion Cape Breton Capers. The visitors earned a 1-0 win over the X-Men.

After a scoreless opening half, Charlie Waters scored for the Capers in the 80^th minute. The goal held as the lone tally of the game.

The X-Men will open up AUS regular season play next weekend. StFX starts the season on the road to UPEI on Saturday, Sept. 9th. Game time is 3:00 pm in Charlottetown against the Panthers. 

The X-Men home opener will be played Sunday, Sept. 10th at StFX Oland Stadium at 3:15 pm against the Saint Mary's Huskies.
