ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – A late surge in the fourth quarter was not enough as the Ontario Tech men's basketball team succumb to a defeat courtesy of the Badgers with the final score being 98-56.
The Ridgebacks struggled to handle the ball as they turned it over 22 times which would ultimately lead to the Badgers scoring 32 points of the turnovers. However it was the Badgers' bench that spurred the offence as they scored 54 points compared to the Ridgebacks' 15.
The Badgers were led by Noah Lapierre and Daniel Caldwell who scored 22 and 23 points respectively.
Ontario Tech now focuses on facing off against the McMaster Marauders in their next game on Saturday, Jan. 25 which will be the end of their back-to-back road game schedule. Tip-off will commence at 8 p.m.

Ammar Hassan (London, Ont.) scored a team-high 13 points while also attacking the rim constantly getting to the free-throw line 5 times.

AJ Cummings (Ajax, Ont.) had 11 points while shooting an efficient three-for-six from the arc.

Ammar Hassan was tenacious on the glass grabbing 15 rebounds to go along with his 13 points.

Levi Ogbanna (Toronto, Ont.) spread the floor which attributed to his four assists along with seven points.
