UPEI will compete for U SPORTS bronze after falling to Brock in semifinals

OTTAWA (U SPORTS) – Samantha Keltos scored 23 points and added 17 rebounds as the Brock Badgers upended the UPEI Panthers 69-55 in their women's semifinal game at the 2020 U SPORTS Final 8 Basketball Championships on Saturday at The Arena at TD Place.

Melissa Tatti added 13 points, seven assists and five rebounds for Brock, while Jenna Mae Elsworth had 19 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in a losing cause for UPEI.

Brock shot 44.1 per cent from the field and 30.4 per cent from three, compared to UPEI's 27.8 per cent shooting and 25.9 per cent from beyond the arc.

With the win, Brock advances to play the Saskatchewan Huskies on Sunday at 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT in the women's final, while UPEI will play Laval for bronze on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT.
