KINGSTON, Ont. (October 9, 2015) - The Gaels women's soccer team won 6-0 over visiting cross town RMC Friday evening at Miklas McCarney Field.
GAME FLOWThe first half saw the Gaels jump out to an early lead when forward
Rachel Radu (Ottawa) scored in the opening minute of the match to give Queen's a 1-0 lead. The Gaels lead was doubled at the half hour mark when Radu netted her second goal of the game to put Queen's up 2-0 heading into halftime.
In the second half Queen's ran away with the game as the offensive attack continued throughout the half. Gaels extended their lead to 3-0 in the 61st minute when captain
Jessie de Boer (North Vancouver) scored her first of three goals of the second half, as she finished two more times in the 84th and 89th minute. Queen's rookie
Jenny Wolever (Toronto) notched her fourth goal of the season in the 88th minute. Gaels goalkeeper
Michaila Frawley (Victoria) earned the clean sheet in the victory. Queen's had nine shots in the second with RMC not registering a single shot on target in the half.
