U SPORTS announces Sun Life as title partner of 2026 Women’s Final 8 at Université Laval; Michelob, Hilton Québec join as presenting partners
U SPORTS announced today Sun Life as a title partner of the 2026 U SPORTS Women’s Basketball Final 8, hosted by Université Laval, with Michelob and Hilton Québec joining the championship as presenting partner.
These partnerships reflect the continued growth and commercial momentum of the Women’s Final 8, one of the premier events on the U SPORTS calendar. The 2026 championship will bring together the top women’s basketball programs from across the country, showcasing elite competition while delivering national visibility and meaningful community engagement.
Sun Life’s involvement aligns with its ongoing commitment to supporting sport and well-being across Canada, while reinforcing the championship’s role in highlighting leadership, excellence and opportunity for women in university sport.
Michelob, as a presenting partner, will enhance the fan experience throughout the championship, contributing to in-venue activation, brand visibility, and on-site engagement during one of U SPORTS’ most anticipated national events. Hilton Québec, also a presenting partner, will serve as the championship’s official hotel partner, supporting teams, officials, and stakeholders while playing a key role in delivering a seamless and welcoming event environment in Québec City.
Québec City has established itself as a leading host for U SPORTS championships, with Université Laval consistently delivering high-quality events supported by strong local engagement and world-class facilities. The 2026 Women’s Final 8 continues that tradition. Laval previously hosted the 2024 Men’s Final 8, bringing home gold in front of a packed home crowd.
The 2026 Sun Life U SPORTS Women’s Basketball Final 8, Presented by Michelob will take place March 5-8, 2026, at the Pavillon de l’Éducation physique et des sports (PEPS) on the campus of Université Laval in Québec City.
