1976 – Western 29 Acadia 13
The Vanier Cup game returned to Varsity Stadium and Acadia's Hec Crighton Trophy winner Bob Stracina set records with 12 receptions for 221 yards and a TD, but it wasn't enough as Western posted a 29-13 win.
Western's Tony Fallis set a record of his own with two rushing TDs and teammate Bill Rozalowsky added 112 yards on 20 carries, good for MVP honours, to pace Western to its third Vanier Cup victory.
