Message from Team Canada's Chef de Mission

Congratulations on earning the privilege to represent Canada and U SPORTS at the 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei!

The opportunity to represent your country in this prestigious international sporting competition is unique and one for which you have worked very hard. My hope is that you will enjoy these Games to the fullest, compete at your best and represent Canada proudly.

FISU and the Local Organizing Committee are working hard to provide a first class competitive experience for you. I know you will be impressed with the facilities, history and natural beauty of Taipei. Take time to enjoy the opportunity you have been given to experience another culture while you are at the Summer Universiade. I also hope that you will use much of your free time to support your fellow Canadian athletes as they compete at the various venues.

I am truly honoured and humbled to serve as your Chef de Mission and I look forward to meeting all of you in person and cheering you on during the competitions. On behalf of all the outstanding people that have been selected as coaches, managers, medical and administrative staff that are part of Team Canada, welcome to the Summer Universiade and Go Canada Go!
