HAMILTON, Ont. - An exciting 2009-10 season of Ontario
University Athletics (OUA) women's basketball will have a
star-studded conclusion on Saturday, May 1 in the OUA All-Star Game
to take place at the Athletic Complex on the campus of Wilfrid
Laurier University as part of the 2010 Ontario Basketball
Association (OBA) Ontario Cup.
OUA West player of the year Amanda Anderson
(Chatham, Ont.) will wear the Western Mustangs uniform for the
final time as she headlines the West squad. She led all players in
the division with an 18.0 points per game average during the
regular season. She will be joined by OUA and Canadian
Interuniversity Sport (CIS) rookie of the year Jessica
Clemençon (St. Rambert, France) of the Windsor
Lancers. Clemençon led all OUA rookies with 313 points and
146 rebounds, a season which culminated with another OUA
championship and a CIS silver medal for the Lancers. Wilfrid
Laurier Golden Hawks product Renata Adamczyk
(Greensville, Ont.), the West defender of the year, will also join
forces with a West team looking to avenge a 77-64 loss to the East
in last year's OUA All-Star Game. The West will be coached by
Lancers head coach Chantal Vallée.
OUA East player of the year Hannah Sunley-Paisley
(Toronto) of the Ottawa Gee-Gees averaged a double-double during
the regular season averaging 18.9 points and 10.8 rebounds, and
will be a force in the middle for the East squad. Veteran guard
Lacey O'Sullivan (Port Colborne, Ont.) of Ryerson

steals with 60 in 2009-10 and was named East defensive player of
the year. East rookie of the year Jessica Resch
(Orleans, Ont.) of the Carleton Ravens will also take part, and
will see a familiar person on the bench in the form of head coach
Taffe Charles who will coach the East squad.
