Former CIS player Derek Ryan signs a one-year contract with the NHL's Carolina HurricanesJune 17, 2015RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has signed center Derek Ryan to a one-year, two-way contract. The deal will pay Ryan $600,000 at the NHL level, or $150,000 at the American Hockey League (AHL) level in 2015-16, with a guarantee of $185,000.
