OTTAWA - The national champion Carleton Ravens men’s basketball team is being honoured for its outstanding accomplishments at Scotiabank Place tonight.
The team will drop the puck in a ceremonial face off before the matchup between the Ottawa Senators and Carolina Hurricanes at 7:30 p.m.
Finishing with a perfect 34-0 record against CIS competition in exhibition action, the regular season and playoffs, the Ravens captured their record-tying eighth national title in 10 years with an 86-67 win over the Alberta Golden Bears in Halifax on Sunday, March 11.
The Final 8 tournament will return to Scotiabank Place in 2013 and 2014, following a two-year hiatus, when the Ravens vie for a record-breaking ninth national title.
