Bison Teague Sherman signed as free agent by Winnipeg Blue Bombers

WINNIPEG - Sherman, 24, finished his five year career at Manitoba with his second consecutive CIS First Team All-Canadian selection at the safety position (2012, 2011). In the 2012 Canada West season, he finished first in conference tackles per game with 7.5 after playing in six of eight conference games. He was second in Canada West after ending up with 45.0 total tackles (tied for 21st in CIS) plus tied for first in conference and tied for eighth in CIS in forced fumbles at two plus the Edmonton native also had one block kick and one interception in 2012.

Sherman completed his Bison career with 162.5 total tackles, good for fifth spot in team history. In addition, the 5’11, 195 lbs. defensive back specialist was also named 2012 and 2011 Canada West All-Star at the safety position.
