PROFILE

Fox returns to the Gaiters as a starting receiver in 2012 following a breakout season.  He will have one more year under his belt with Gaiters starting quarterback Jordan Heather.  Heather set the school record in 2011 for passing yards, 689 of which went to Fox.  The Gaiters small and gritty receiver also found the end zone on six occasions last year.  Fox comes back to the Gaiters as a more experienced player who will be called upon to fill the big-play potential void left by Steven Turner.  After a 2011 year where he was named both an all-star in the RESQ as well as a second team all-Canadian, his confidence will be at an all time high.

“Alex is a great player, he works so hard every day,” said Gaiters head coach Kevin Mackey. “Everything his has makes him a winner; he’s a true team guy.”

Fox and the rest of his Gaiter teammates will get the 2012 campaign underway on Saturday, Sept. 1 when they travel to Montreal to face the Concordia Stingers.
