OTTAWA (CIS) – The CIS fall championship season gets
underway this week with the University of Toronto and University of
Guelph hosting the national women’s field hockey and
women’s rugby tournaments, respectively.
Both competitions run from Thursday to Sunday and all games can be
seen live on the web on CIS-SIC.tv.
Three more CIS championships are scheduled for the following week,
including women’s soccer in Quebec City (Nov. 6-9),
men’s soccer in Charlottetown (Nov. 6-9) and cross country in
St. John’s (Nov. 8).
Football follows on Nov. 22 with the Uteck Bowl (Canada West at
RSEQ) and the ArcelorMittal Mitchell Bowl (AUS at OUA) leading up
to the 50th TELUS Vanier Cup on Nov. 29 at 1 p.m. at Molson Stadium
in Montreal.
Once again this fall, Sportsnet and Radio-Canada are the national
broadcasters of CIS football.
