SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Bishop's Gaiters women's rugby team dropped their opening game, 68-5, to visiting Carleton on Sunday afternoon at Coulter Field. The Gaiters fall to 0-1, while the Ravens are now 1-0.

How it happened
- The Ravens got on the scoreboard in the third minute, as Melanie Judges scored on a 25-yard run. They doubled their advantage soon after on a try by Ella Collings.
- The Ravens added four tries and a pair of conversions to take a 34-0 halftime lead.
- The Gaiters had more possession, and their best chances to score in the second half. They got on the scoreboard in the 80th minute on a last-minute try by Jillian Simpson.
