Lancer Volleyball splits weekend home games

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The men's volleyball team split a pair of home matches this weekend against the Ryerson Rams and Toronto Varsity Blues.
 
With the split, the Lancers are 5-9 and in a hunt for the final playoff spot in the OUA.
Windsor hosted the Rams on Friday and fell to visitors 3-0 (22-25, 23-25, 23-25) however, the match score does not reflect how close the game was. The two teams battled through the entire night both displaying effective defence.
Windsor was led by Greg Simone with 14 kills, 6 digs, and 15.5 points.
 
On Saturday against the Varsity Blues, both teams were desperate for a win as the playoff picture is starting to come down to the final matches of the season.
 
The Lancers served effectively throughout the entire match to keep Toronto out of system. The Lancers handled Toronto easily winning the match 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-16).
 
Simone once again led the Blue & Gold with 14 kills, 6 digs, and 17.5 points.
 
Windsor will be in action again this Friday when they travel to Waterloo to take on the Warriors.
