Box Score The Waterloo men's basketball team threw everything at the No. 4 Brock Badgers but a first quarter where the visitors outscored the Warriors 23-12 would prove to be the difference. 

The final score would go the way of the Badgers 81-69 in front of 1,000 boisterous fans as part of the Fantastic Alumni Day and for many, the first time experiencing the new PAC bleachers.

Brock and Waterloo both shot under 40 percent from the field but the difference came from beyond the arc as the Badgers hit seven 3-pointers compared to just three for Waterloo.  The Warriors also committed 16 turnovers with Brock turning those into 19 points.

Brock was led by their dynamic duo of Johneil Simpson and Dani Elgadi who teamed up for 48 points in the win.  Simpson finished 10-for-18 from the field while Elgadi was 9-for-19.  Elgadi was also a perfect 5-for-5 from the line.  Former Warrior Zachary Angelini had a fine game off the bench with nine points.

For Waterloo it was a solid effort by four of their starters as Jon Ravenhorst (Sarnia), Dylan Phillips (Hamilton), Ben Davis (Mississauga), and Muhammad Anwar (Mississauga) each found double digits.  Ravenhorst had 13 while Phillis and Davis had 15 for the black and gold.  Anwar led all Waterloo players with 16 points.  On the boards, rookie forward David Bajic (Kitchener) led the way with seven.

Waterloo will be back in action on the weekend as they travel to Sudbury to take on the Laurentian Voyageurs.
