(Halifax, NS) The Dalhousie Tigers scored four unanswered goals to beat the Mount Allison Mounties by a score of 4-2 on Sunday night at the Halifax Forum. The Tigers found themselves trailing 2-0 halfway through the second period but managed to pull of the comeback win.

In the opening minutes the Tigers were the dominant team out shooting the Mounties 6-2. Rosie Heffernan gave Mount Allison some life as she rang a shot off the crossbar on a break away opportunity.

Shortly after the Heffernan chance Shelby Colton tried to fool Jessica Severeyns with a forehand-backhand move on a 2-on-1 but had no luck.

Finally, after a couple of quality scoring chances the Mounties were able to capitalize. Heather Richards fired a shot off a feed from Kara Anthony that just slipped past Severeyns.

The Mounties took the 1-0 lead into the dressing room after the first period.

Just four minutes into the 2nd frame the Mounties extended their lead to two as Emily van Diepen beat Severeyns. Samantha Bujold was credited with the assist.

In a blink of an eye the Tigers were back in the game tied at 2-2 with Mounties. Tara Morning and Becca Chilvers scored two goals less then a minute apart halfway through the second period to knot things up.

The quick two goals completely changed the feel of the game, as the Tigers seemed to be in the drivers seat after trailing for majority of the game.

In the final minutes of the second period Lisa MacLean found Courtney Sheedy sitting out front and fed her a pass from behind the net. Sheedy made no mistake and gave the Tigers a 3-2 lead.

The one goal lead would hold to the final minute of the game when Sarah Robichaud scored on an empty net.

The Tigers (4-4) have now won three straight and will look to keep the streak alive when they host Moncton (5-4) next Sunday. Moncton (3-6) is on the ice next when they host UPEI (2-6) Thursday night.
