(HALIFAX, N.S.)—Tyler Forsey's lone goal in the 48th minute helped propel the Memorial Sea-Hawks over the Saint Mary's Huskies 1-0 Saturday afternoon in Atlantic University Sport men's soccer action.
Forsey booted the ball left-footed across the goal into the right corner, beating SMU keeper Christian Oxner (Halifax, N.S.) 1-0.
The Huskies outshot Memorial 13-10 and held a 7-2 corner kick advantage in the match.
Braedan Sheppard (St. John's, NF) picked up the win (4-0) and made eight saves.
Oxner took the loss with six saves. Forsey has four goals on the year, good for 2nd in the AUS.
Memorial improves to 3-0 (9 points) and face 2-0-1 Dalhousie Sunday afternoon at 3:15 p.m.
Saint Mary's hits the road for a pair on games September 23rd-24th versus 2-1 UPEI and 0-3 Mount Allison.
