Tigers score late marker to earn 1-1 draw with the Sea-Hawks

The Memorial Sea-Hawks and Dalhousie Tigers battled to a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon in AUS men's soccer action at King George V in St. John's. 

Kyle Williams (Goulds, NL) opened the scoring for the Sea-Hawks (8") on a great strike just outside the eighteen-yard box.  Williams registered three shots on the day and was name the Subway Player of the Game.  That goal gave the Sea-Hawks a 1-0 halftime lead. 

The visitors battled hard until the final moments of the game and were rewarded for their efforts as Freddy Bekkers (Halifax, NS) scored on a cross from James Nearing (Bedford, NS) in the 90th minute to earn the tie for the Tigers. 

Braedan Sheppard (St. John's, NL) made three saves on the day for the Sea-Hawks, while TJ Leopold (Bedford, NS) made five for the Tigers.

Both teams will still be looking for their first win of the season tomorrow with the rematch being set at 3:15pm NST at King George V.  You can also watch the game live on AUStv.ca.
