The Laurentian Voyageurs added another win onto their win streak. The Mens hockey team has scored eleven goals in just two games and are currently on a two game win streak from the result of today's game against the UOIT Ridgebacks.
It did not take long for the Voyageurs offence to get back into the groove as the Vees captain Nicolas Dionne was the first to light the goal lamp only eight minutes in to the first period, Daniel Lepage and Zach Wilkie would pick up the assists.
The second period would be an offensive onslaught for the Vees as Dionne would pick up two more goals giving him a hat-trick for the night. A common theme amongst Dionne's goals were his line mate Richard Therrian, who would pick up a point on both goals while Jacob Smith and David Chiarelli would get the second assists.
The last of the Voyageurs offensive push would be Jarret Meyer, Laurentian's towering American first year recruit who would score the only power play goal for the Vees. Smith would pick up his second point of the night on the tally.
UOIT had a change of mindset coming into the third period as they popped two goals past Laurentian's Michael Giugovaz. Jordan Ross would be credited both goals in the third period but unfortunately that would only cut Laurentians lead in half. Consequently, giving the Vees their second consecutive win.
The Voyageurs next play November 9th when they host Carleton at 7:35pm and look to extend their streak.
