(HALIFAX, N.S.) - On Sunday afternoon at Huskies Stadium, Acadia got off to a quick start with goals from Katie Ross and Emily Nickerson within the first 15 minutes of the game.

Playing from behind, the Huskies were forced to push the play forward, which left them exposed at defence as Acadia directed 12 shots on goal throughout the game.

Saint Mary's goaltending battle continued as both Jackie Blank and Morgan Geremia split time during the match.

Acadia's tough defence and solid goaltending allowed their early 2-0 lead to hold up and leave the Huskies searching for their first win.

The Huskies will next host UPEI on Friday, Oct. 3 at Huskies Stadium. Game time is set for 5 p.m.

Acadia next takes to the field at the same time. They will host the StFX X-Men Friday at Raymond Field.
