Abdallah Medouni scored the only goal as Concordia blanked McGill 1-0 to finish their RSEQ men's soccer season, Sunday, at Concordia Stadium.
Medouni was assisted by
Sébastien Boucley.
Redmen goalkeeper
Antoine Marchal, a management freshman from Montreal, made seven stops in the contest. At the other end of the pitch,
Karl Gouabé made six saves in 83 minutes before being replaced by
Michael Pelcar, who stopped his only shot faced.
McGill striker
Mehdi Ibn-Brahim was red-carded after being assessed two yellow cards in the game.
The Redmen end the season in fifth place with a 4-5-3 record and 15 points, just three points shy of making the RSEQ playoffs.
This marked the final game for McGill's four graduating seniors, namely defender
Patrick Fusarini (electrical engineering) of Laval, Que.,
Pierre Lepage, a native of Boulogne-Billancourt in France who is completing a master's degree in kinesiology and physical education,
Julien Marlatt (management) of San Francisco, Calif., and
Valentin Radevich (physical therapy) from Minsk in Belarus.
